Bob Makransky is a systems analyst, programmer, and professional astrologer with over 30 years experience. His style is a highly intuitive / psychic approach to traditional occidental astrology, since he is a spirit channel as well as an astrologer. His astrology is psychological and spiritual, but he always tries to be as specific as possible in giving advice vis a vis career and relationships.
He specializes in relationship astrology (comparing horoscopes); vocational advice, prediction using progressions, transits, and directions; and electing favorable times to begin new projects such as marriages, opening new businesses, making moves etc. Over the years his articles have appeared in all the major astrology magazines (American Astrology, Dell Horoscope, The Mountain Astrologer, Considerations, Diamond Fire, NCGR Journal, etc.)
He is the author of Primary Directions (1988), an explanation of celestial sphere mathematics with algorithms for writers of astrological software; Thought Forms (2000), an astrological explanation of consciousness and an introduction to the theory and practice of magic; and Magical Living (2001) a collection of essays on magic and New Age spirituality.
He lives on a farm in highland Guatemala where he runs a resort / hotel for travelers and spiritual seekers and offers personal instruction in how to channel, run past life regressions, use nature spirits and power spots. He is a member of the Mayan priesthood, does software consulting, and is also president of the local blueberry growers association.
